At Workday, our HRBP & Organizational Effectiveness (OE) team builds resilient organizations, enables leaders to operate at scale, and amplifies our employee-first culture. We are adding the Senior HRBP & Strategic Programs role during an exciting period of company growth. This role reports directly to the Head of the HRBP & OE team that supports HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Strategy, & Marketing.

About the Role

HRBP Client Support (40%):

Staying rooted in business partnering is paramount; so this role maintains client support. Specifically, this role supports Workday's SVP of Global Field Marketing & Campaigns. As a Sr HRBP, you'll keep a pulse on workforce analytics, utilizing Workday's HCM product. You're hands-on when it comes to executive coaching, M&A, and the development of functional talent strategies. Conversely, you'll lean on an ecosystem of HR experts that lead performance management, frontline manager coaching, people analytics, investigations, and D&I.

Enterprise Programs (40%):

This role delivers cyclical, enterprise programs to 4 distinct organizations: Legal, Marketing, IT, & Strategy. Examples of the annual programs are: annual compensation planning, talent calibration, and succession planning. The essence of this portion of the role is all about ensuring thoughtful localization and delivery of programs in order to increase program effectiveness and adoption. This part of the role requires proven facilitation skills and strong executive presence given you'll work regularly with the CLO, CMO, CIO, and CSO.

Functional Projects & Programs (20%):

A key component of this role is leading select projects & programs built within the HRBP team. These programs are designed to advance functional people strategies forward.

About You

Your expertise in strategic partnering and your established trustworthiness as a coach enables you to regularly influence. You're comfortable being a highly visible members of the leadership team, operating in a variety of settings, whether it involves leading discussions on organizational design or providing one-on-one executive coaching. You're also an expert navigator across global teams - this is particularly important for this role, recognizing the client support is for an org that is nearly 50% non-US.

Basic Qualifications


  • 8 years' experience in an HR role partnering with executives to build high-performing teams and lead change


  • Strong business acumen-demonstrated ability to learn business objectives quickly and influence talent and org decisions that impact business outcomes


  • Experience building an annual org strategy and talent plan that sets clear talent priorities and actions that result in highly engaged people in the best possible roles, doing the best work of their live


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to take direct ownership of interpreting data and using data to influence decision making


  • Experience diagnosing and building leadership team capabilities, at senior levels, with courage and candor


  • Experience building relationships across the HR function as well as across executive teams, within and outside of the core client groups


  • Experience building trusted relationships with executives as well as managers and employees



Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $141,300 USD - $211,900 USD


Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $110,500 USD - $211,900 USD
