Demonstrates an intermediate knowledge level in assigned area and works under direction only as needed. Responsible for administering pay guidelines and compensation programs. Conducts research, analyzes data and prepares recommendations concerning position studies, offers, pay administration, bonus programs and market trends.


Provides broad client coverage support to other compensation associates or may manage a business client group relationship


Analyzes and provides recommendations on various non-standard and/or exception based compensation recommendations/actions (e.g., promotions, merits, transfers); provides guidance to HR and TA Business Partners on non-standard situations


Maintains pay equity and ensures practices are aligned with pay philosophy and competitive market


Contributes to and/or leads development of educational materials, and communications designed to provide associates, managers, and HR partners with timely and accurate information regarding compensation initiatives


Serves as a practice leader and keeps abreast of external compensation trends and recommends applicability to company, if appropriate


Conducts position studies: Interviews managers and associate for new and existing positions to determine responsibilities, writes role descriptions and recommends appropriate grade and FLSA status


Prepares ad-hoc reports from HR systems and conducts research and analysis using data visualization tools (i.e.: excel, tableau, investigate); identifies actionable insights through data analysis and makes recommendations


Contributes to regular cyclical compensation work (market study, survey analysis, annual bonus programs, resources review group etc.) and functional project work as needed


Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for common review process and system related questions (Company Career Resources - Compensation Module); conducts a variety of data preparation, testing and audits throughout the cycle


Performs additional responsibilities as assigned
