Job Title: Cloud Architect

Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) OR Austin, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, monitor and optimize cloud architecture solutions.


• Create diagrams, models and other software artifacts


• Collaborate across technology departments on projects

• Manage infrastructure for existing Applications, Data Solutions, Servers, Virtual Machines and Network Devices


• Ensure smooth operation of the cloud infrastructure and solutions


• Develop creative approaches to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.


• Identify and vet cloud providers and third-party services.


• Develop strategies to utilize a combination of commercial and government cloud architecture to meet the needs of the company

• Maintain information accuracy and security while initiating bulk data transfers.


• Create standard operating procedures and policies while adhering to industry standards and best practices.


• Guide cross-functional teams on using and accessing cloud solutions.


• Evaluating latest technologies to modernize legacy systems.


• Stay abreast with new developments and trends in cloud computing

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, servers and trends.


• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, software application, integration, and design.


• Experience using Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).


• Windows Server Administration


• SSL implementation


• Experience with SSO/SAML integrations across a variety of applications.


• Strong cloud migration and data management skills with an emphasis on data privacy and security.


• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and can thrive in a fast-paced work environment.


• Strong communication skills with the willingness to collaborate with cross-functional departments and teams.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.


• Five years’ experience as a cloud architect or similar role.


• Familiar with CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirements.


• Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.


• Government Cloud knowledge is a plus
