JOB DESCRIPTION/POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks under minimal supervision.
  2. Assess culverts annually for condition, necessary repairs, current status, and other details as required by NASA.
  3. Assess street signs annually for condition, necessary repairs, reflectiveness, current status, and other details as required by NASA.
  4. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to civil/structural engineering.
  5. Provide onsite technical guidance as needed for new or existing equipment/structures installation and/or modifications that require civil/structural engineer expertise.
  6. Revise and add new asset information in Maximo database for assigned equipment per MAR (Maintenance Action Request) process.
  7. Develop and maintain job plans and PMs for assigned equipment in accordance with launch and processing operations, NASA-STD-5008B and industry standard requirements.
  8. Address and justify preventive maintenance deferrals of assigned equipment.
  9. Conduct site visits to investigate system problems, propose solutions and provide recommendations to restore systems.
  10. Support shop technicians in troubleshooting issues related to assigned equipment as needed.
  11. Provide technical expertise for technical anomalies as they arise. Resolve and document failure anomalies regarding assigned equipment.
  12. Prepare Technical Anomaly reports and presentations documenting problems, concerns, and resolutions for assigned equipment to the Engineering Review Board.


Job Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS/SPECIAL TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related scientific field and/or 12+ years of job-related experience or equivalent and/or 18+ years relevant experience with no 4-year degree. Must be able to obtain and maintain job related Licenses, Certifications etc. required by Federal, State, local, NASA and Space Force standards, rules and regulations
