Job Description:

Reporting into Protective Services, the Executive Protection Specialist is the primary interface with senior executives and ensures that all client needs, and expectations are met with high quality, industry standard programs and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and utilizing proper protective services skills at all times to enable executive leadership to conduct business without undue concern for their safety or security.

Responsibilities:


  • Delivers tactical security support to specific divisional/ regional operations and elsewhere as directed or manage one or more security programs focused on an aspect of security fundamental to the company's security strategy.

  • Provide guidance and support to site and subsidiary security operations, ensuring the company's standards are implemented.

  • Assesses security exposures and implement programs to address them, influencing stakeholders and clients as required.

  • Conduct and support investigations within the region or elsewhere as requested by Global Security Management

  • Provides support as directed in areas of executive protection, crisis management, site security, brand security, etc..

  • Responds to security emergencies.

  • Develops and maintains security data to enable trending and return on investment analysis. Maintains incident reporting database and measures.

  • Manages budgets and 3rd party vendors under supervision of region or program leadership.

  • Maintains liaison with government, industry, and intelligence professionals.

Education and Experience:


  • First-level university degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years security experience, including a mix of law enforcement, military, intelligence and/or corporate experience. Must include corporate experience and operational management of multiple security disciplines (e.g., operations, executive protection, systems, etc).

  • Clean driving record and completion of an Executive Protection or Dignitary training school.

  • Global security experience and accreditations and multiple language proficiency are desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Recognized authority in security theories, techniques and technologies for one or more security disciplines, along with broad general security knowledge. Investigative roles: Broad experience conducting complex regional field investigations

  • Sound, ethical judgment required.

  • Developed leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and teaching.

  • Superior ability to use security systems and applications.

  • Advanced analytical skills. Ability to identify complex security issues and customize, implement/execute innovative processes and solutions.

  • Thorough knowledge of criminal and civil procedure as it relates to evidence, privacy, interviewing, breach of contract, fraud, supply chain and intellectual property protection.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in complex situations.

  • Advanced interpersonal and communications skills, including presentation, reporting and consulting. Proven "customer service" and relationship management skills.

  • Advanced project management skills, including planning, execution, and implementation.

  • Developed business and financial acumen.

  • Established range of professional contacts. Familiar with the range of professional security literature.

  • Practical knowledge of the current security environment in local geography.

Impact/Scope:

Manager roles focus on an assigned geographic area. Investigative roles manage a caseload of complex investigative work. Both types of roles share the following characteristics:


  • Leads the delivery of standard services and programs with after-the-fact review. For unique and/or particularly complex work, receive more frequent management input during the work process. Contributes to overall strategy development on a regional level.

  • Contributes to high priority projects and cases.

  • Manages effective team execution of complex and important work in the region.

  • Assures security staff is trained to company requirements.

  • Collaborates with partners, customers, suppliers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and at varying levels within the corporate structure.

  • Establishes and maintains seamless relationships to assure alignment with regional security strategy.

  • Contributes to regional solutions and strategies, ranging from committee work/team efforts to independent, self-motivated efforts.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S. -based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $75,500.00 - $174,500.00
