  Summary of the Position:

  
  

  The Technical Operator repairs and performs maintenance on various food processing and packaging equipment (including automated high-speed machines), systems and related machinery panels.

  40%	E	Operation of packaging and/or processing equipment in a line operator position.
  40%	E	Troubleshoots and repairs processing and automated high speed packaging equipment, systems, and related machinery panels.
  15%	E	Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work.
  5%	M	Other duties as assigned.
  Continually	Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements. Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality. Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management. Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.  Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development. Responsible to comply with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety. Responsible to support safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.

  Qualifications:

  
  

  Education, Experience, and Knowledge: 

  
  
  
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required .
  
  
  • Five plus years of experience in repair, maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.
  
  
  • Experience troubleshooting processing equipment and/or complex automated high-speed equipment.
