Job Description:

TransCore - Amtech Systems, LLC (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Lead Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary: The Lead Manufacturing Operator performs all functions necessary to assist the area Supervisor in the daily operations of the manufacturing department. Takes a proactive approach in ensuring that production schedules are met in a timely and safe manner. Orders materials, to build the product, as needed and oversees the area to ensure scrap is held to a minimal.

This position is for our D12 shift - 6:00am - 6:30pm - Thursday through Saturday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Utilizes all available resources to meet the production schedule and productivity goals.
• Schedules equipment usage and provides daily job assignments to subordinates.
• Ensures the individuals performing these assignments are properly trained and are performing these tasks as defined by the policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Monitors the area to ensure that individuals are meeting productivity goals and adhering to the safety rules.
• Provides direct and daily feedback to the responsible Supervisor regarding any personnel, equipment, safety or productivity problems.
• Provides data as required to track the team progress towards achievement of company objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Must have excellent coaching/mentoring skills
• Must be able to multitask and be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills is required.
• Experience with MS Office software and reporting software.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of electrical bench test equipment/instruments
• Knowledge of electronic circuits/schematics
• Soldering skills
• Product knowledge

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
