Financial Analyst (Information Technology) at Garmin International in Olathe, Kansas

Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking a full-time Financial Analyst in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing cost and financial data to report to management and to highlight operational problems.

Essential Functions

• Prepare and analyze profitability statements by geography and segment


• Prepare and analyze cost center (budget vs. actual) reports


• Conduct monthly budget reviews with department managers and directors


• Participate in the preparation of annual budget


• Recommend internal process changes which will lead to greater financial and operating efficiency


• Prepare various analyses and reports for distribution to senior management and prepare and analyze competitive information and reports

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field AND a minimum of 5 years work experience in finance or accounting


• Demonstrates a proficient working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Access


• Demonstrates a proficient knowledge of accounting theory and methods


• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and proficient presentation skills


• Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and be proactive in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment

Desired Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business Administration


• Experience working for a company with global operations


• Experience in consolidating financial information of multiple companies or business units


• Prior Oracle experience


• Experience with business intelligence and financial reporting systems
