Manages travel operations for the athletic department to ensure compliance with fiscal policies, procedures, and regulations. Coordinates financial reporting for travel including but not limited to projections, accounting, and budgeting. Complete other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations and/or Athletics CFO.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Travel: Manages athletic department travel operations including but not limited to airfare reconciliation, cash advances, official visit reconciliation, reimbursements. Responsible for the education of all department staff on travel related policies and procedures and expense management systems. Serves as the liaison with campus travel office and department travel agency.
30% - Essential - Financial: Responsible for providing management with reporting and projections on travel related expenses to assist in identifying areas of concern. Assist in development of the athletic department's travel budget. Ensure accuracy of travel data by completing reconciliation of general ledger.
10% - Essential - Accounts Payable: Manages payment of all travel related expense accounts including but not limited to direct bill hotels, rental cars, and bus invoices.
10% - Essential - Management: Provide oversight of Athletic Business Office Interns including, but not limited to: scheduling, job responsibilities, recruitment, and performance management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree Work Experience - 3+ years
Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/ or experience requirement.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree - Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Work Experience - 4+ years in College Athletics
