The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Clinical Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Providing CDI content support to Solventum HIS end user products applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) in a clinical setting.

  • Identifying relevant clinical data from electronic health record (EHR) documents, specifically reviewing documentation following CDI guidelines for both inpatient and outpatient settings for our CDI products.

  • Educating and coordinating inpatient and outpatient CDI clinical content use with other Solventum HIS departments and clients.

  • Mapping clinical text to terminologies in the Solventum Healthcare Data Dictionary (HDD), a terminology server containing a reference terminology integrated from standard and legacy clinical vocabularies.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Associate degree or higher in nursing from an accredited institution and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare related specialty

  • CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) from ACDIS or CDIP (Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner) from AHIMA certification OR Three (3) years CDI (Clinical Documentation Integrity) equivalency

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Two (2) years of CDI denials experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university in nursing

  • Experience working with clinical terminology standards (e.g. SNOMED CT, LOINC and RxNorm) or in clinical Natural Language Processing (NLP) in healthcare.

  • Good communication, oral presentation and writing skills.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to work well within a fully remote team.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
