Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Sr. Developer - Legacy to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in software development, particularly in legacy systems.

Key Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in software development
- Proficiency in Mainframe CA Gen (CoolGen), ideally version 8.6
- Experience in writing CA Gen applications leveraging DB2 on the mainframe
- Proficiency in CICS real-time transaction processing
- Proficiency in writing SQL
- Experience with JCL and batch processing on the mainframe

Desirable Skills:
- Experience with zOS Connect, AWS native services, Python, Java, and Dynatrace

Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, construct, test, and implement business and technical IT solutions through appropriate software development life cycle methodology
- Participate in standard business and technical IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions
- Use appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and/or technical problems
- Interact with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment and technical context
- Validate scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of IT solutions encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies
- Define project scope, plans, and deliverables, including proposed implementation dates
- Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new technologies, standard processes, tools, and techniques
- Assist in defining alternate solutions for the business problem
