Santa Barbara Humane's Manager of Volunteer Engagement is a key member of our hard-working and goal-driven team, directly impacting how we improve the lives of animals and the people who love them.
SB Humane operates two campuses each providing low-cost (and even free) veterinary services, affordable dog training classes, and animal shelters. We are a financially secure, inclusive organization that provides excellent fully sponsored health benefits and a positive and progressive work culture.
Community members in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria are keen to support our efforts and our new Manager of Volunteer Engagement will stay busy with dual-campus onboarding and assisting our Philanthropy & Outreach Department with community events. It's a fun job where no two days are the same and everything you do makes a difference. Here's what we hope your resume showcases:
2-3 years experience in program development and management with an emphasis on working with volunteers.
Ability to work with initiative, manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and implement programs.
Experience coordinating and managing teams and communicating a workplace culture.
Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence presenting before diverse groups
Sincere interest in the mission of Santa Barbara Humane, a Socially Conscious Shelter.
CA Driver's License, insurable driving record, comfortable with daily/weekly driving between campuses.
Able to work a flexible schedule that includes weeknights and weekends as-needed.
