Location: Harmony, PA
Salary: $70,000.00 USD Annually - $80,000.00 USD Annually
Description: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team in a manufacturing company. This role is pivotal in managing the financial health of our organization and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee daily workflows of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
- Support the CFO in financial reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to align on company practices and financial needs.
- Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for union and administrative staff.
- Ensure timely payment of payroll taxes, 401K contributions, and other deductions, and complete payroll compliance activities.
- Report daily cash balances and movements, and provide daily cash receipts to the AR Clerk.
- Enter PO Receipts and ensure accurate calculation of purchase price variance.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including payroll accruals and expense amortizations.
- File monthly sales and use tax returns.
- Monitor Positive Pay activities with the financial institution.
- Reconcile GL accounts regularly and resolve abnormal balances.
- Assist the CFO with financial data management and preparation of financial statements.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years experience in accounting
