Are you a self-starter, and do you thrive in entrepreneurial environments?Tax Manager purpose:Overall responsibility for all areas of corporate income tax compliance to ensure that all reporting requirements and deadlines are met in all jurisdictions where Merz is required to file. Manages all transfer pricing requirements and other activities driven by international tax requirements and the global nature of the Company's business.1. Federal Tax Compliance Partner with third party tax consultant to ensure that all reporting requirements, including estimates and extensions, and deadlines are met for the jurisdictions that Merz must file in. 2. State Tax Compliance Partner with third party tax consultant to ensure that all reporting requirements, including estimates and extensions, and deadlines are met for the state/local jurisdictions that Merz must file in. 3. Transfer Pricing Responsible for calculating transfer prices for US owned products sold to Merz global affiliates, creating and maintaining required internal and US transfer pricing reporting documentation; manage and review intercompany distribution agreements. 4. Financial Reporting Tax provision accounting including year-end review by external auditors; review accruals related to areas of responsibility on a monthly basis for proper presentation in internal financial statements. Assist Group Tax with tax planning initiatives as needed. 5. 1042 Reporting Responsible for reviewing and reporting all payments to foreign vendors. Including but not limited to analysis of US withholding tax requirements on payments, reviewing W-8 forms submitted by foreign vendors and filing of Forms 1042 and 1042-S. 6. Tax Audits Coordinates and leads internal activities related to any federal or state income tax audits. 7. Tax Legislation Monitor changes to US tax law and provide analysis on the impact to Merz. 8. Other duties as assigned Participation in projects as assigned by manager. Job related qualifications/skillsEducation - 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent Required - Graduate degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting or equivalent Preferred -CPA Designation PreferredProfessional experience -5-6 years of relevant experience Required -SAP experience Preferred - Tax provision software PreferredKnowledge, skills, and abilities (incl. languages) -Strong analytical skills Required -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Preferred -Strong problem solving skills RequiredKnowledge of methods- Pharmaceutical industry experience Preferred - Knowledge of tax technical research products PreferredPersonal skills -Ability to business partner with the Therapeutics organization Preferred - Attention to detail & organizational skills Preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills Preferred Don't meet every single requirement?
