GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for the timely and accurate implementation of all warehouse functions and related data collection and documentation. Provide back-up for warehouse supervisor functions. Handle other assignments, as directed. Load trucks for delivery (and unload for receiving, when necessary). Ensure that products for shipping are prepared accordingly to customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Help solve problems and make informed decisions that affect the service, and productivity of the shipping/receiving area.
  • Verify accuracy of outbound and inbound shipments when necessary.
  • Maintain a neat, organized warehouse using bin locations
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain an inventory record accuracy of 97%
  • Research short/long shipments
  • Maintain equipment and keep operational following all safety requirements
  • Must follow all company policies. Must be knowledgeable of GMP's, OSHA, and HAACP. Will need to train employees on these processes.
  • Pull orders and assist warehouse personnel with the order pulling process
  • Follow load schedule for the week
  • Verify accuracy of outbound shipments
  • Maintain a neat, organized warehouse using bin locations
  • Ship samples based on designated criteria using the Fed Ex web.
  • Update and maintain all outbound shipping records. Keep pertinent paperwork up to date.
  • Work effectively in both individual and team settings.
  • Carefully inspect before final loading for shipment.
  • Maintain internal records, as needed.
  • Enter shipping records into SAP.
  • Submit reports, as required.
  • Keep daily logs on all forklifts, verifying they are accurate and up-to-date. Submit to manager immediately following month-end.
  • Complete cross-training to back-up warehouse and other functions, when necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel. SAP experience helpful.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of associates, managers, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and have ability to work in a team environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
•Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
•Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.
•Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
•Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
•May be required to work weekend and night hours to fill in as needed.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

If operating a forklift, must have forklift certificate.
