Federal Reserve Bank of MinneapolisThe Treasury Services (TS) Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis serves as Fiscal Agent for the US Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service supporting the Retail Program. Our department provides and supports various services related to the issuing and redemption of US savings bonds and marketable securities. This position will mature the risk management structure and processes within Minneapolis Treasury Services including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks.
Job Responsibilities:
Identify and assess areas of significant business, technology, and operational risks that may affect the operations, programs, and the reputation of the organization
Develop and implement risk management strategies, processes, and controls designed to mitigate risks
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes and updates with process improvements as necessary
Coordinate with leaders across the Treasury Services organization to identify, develop mitigation strategies, and actively manage risks
Perform analysis, identify trends and dependencies and report on the findings, making recommendations as needed to leadership and relevant stakeholders
Provide support and training to staff about risk management and promoting a culture of risk awareness
Coordinate and communicate risk activities across Treasury Services and various partners including: Audit, Enterprise Risk and Compliance, Information Security, Bureau of Fiscal Service, Human Resources and Inclusion, Legal, Treasury Relations Support Office (TRSO) Risk to ensure all activities are consistent, accurate, and current
Contribute to projects and perform intermediate analytical tasks in support of Department, Bank, FRS and/or federal agency initiatives
Escalate difficult and complex questions or problems to other analysts or management
Complete or assist in preparing and/or revising communications, including proposals, reports, and presentations for all levels of management
Stay current with the latest risk management frameworks, tools, techniques, and industry trends
Job Description:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of higher education and/or experience.
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, preferred. 5 years of direct work-related experience or equivalent combination of related higher education and experience.
Proven work experience as a Risk Management Analyst, Risk Manager or similar role
Strong knowledge of risk assessment and control processes
Proficient in data analysis and risk assessment
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Proficient in a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office.
Additional Information:
* Salary range is $78,300-$97,830-$117,400. Salary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
