Our client is seeking a HIL Engineer in Atlanta, GA.


Role Description


• Gather test requirements from the engineering function and determine the best software and automation solutions to meet system V&V needs.
- Specify, design, develop, and operate HIL test benches (Rigs) from equipment to system level.
• Lead the development of software and modeling solutions for HIL test benches, including DAQ, HMI, test automation, and data analysis.
• Produce technical documentation to support test benches V&V, ensuring compliance with software tool validation standards (DO-330).


Skills & Requirements


• Proficiency in developing complex applications using LabVIEW or Matlab/Simulink for closed and open loop real-time test systems.
• Ability to write and integrate code in Python or C/C++ for system control, data processing, and enhancing LabVIEW/Matlab applications.
• Knowledge of aerospace/automotive communication protocols such as ARINC 429, ARINC 664, CAN, and related tools for measuring and commanding signals through scripting.
• Familiarity with version control tools, CI/CD pipelines, and other software development tools to ensure robust and maintainable code.
• Familiarity with Reflective Memory real-time data sharing.
• Experience with software tool qualification for aviation purposes (DO-330).
• Knowledge of requirements management tools such as DOORs, JAMA, Windchill.
• BS in Electronics, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience with Hardware in the Loop real-time systems such as National Instruments, Speedgoat, RT-Opal, or dSPACE.
• Experience as a Testing Engineer with a focus on Hardware in the Loop.
• Industry experience in Military, Motor, or Aerospace sectors..
