Job Description:

Newton-Wellesley Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation Services has an opening for a full time Department Coordinator to join a team of clinicians and support staff focused on providing an exceptional customer experience with high quality care.




Provides departmental support by performing customer service, receptionist, and clerical duties. Demonstrates exemplary customer service that is friendly, helpful, and anxiety reducing to patients, peers, and clinicians. Works closely with fellow staff and clinicians to ensure a smooth scheduling process, by being informative and thorough. Answers phone calls; schedules appointments, screens and directs calls. Handles and files incoming patient referrals and faxes. Verifies insurance, updates registration when needed. Processes requests for information/medical records according to hospital guidelines. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality, pays strict attention to detail with all processes.




Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent with minimum two years medical office experience; Associate degree preferred.
