The Endoscopy Assessment RN is responsible for performing pre-procedure nursing assessment of patients undergoing elective endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy Assessment RN coordinates the pre-procedure process (i.e. sending information packets and prep instructions), completes the patient assessment, and identifies and documents findings. The Endoscopy Assessment RN communicates the appropriate information to the physician, nursing personnel, social services, etc. and screens all referrals for appropriateness of patients being booked for procedures.
This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
This position reports to the Manager, Endoscopy and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
