Building & Site Support Services Manager at AstraZeneca in Coppell, Texas

Job Description:

This role offers an opportunity to assemble and lead a multidisciplinary set of professionals and contract service providers to provide an integrated support and ensure the safe, secure, and sustainable function of the building and site services.



Accountabilities:

As the Building & Site Services Manager, you will develop the strategy and actively handle assets, instruments, spare parts, and the computerized maintenance & building management systems. You will be responsible for managing contracted building support services, resolving contractual disputes, preparing and handling the building and site support services budget, and ensuring that the building is clean, safe, and functional for the occupants and visitors. You will also coordinate site's services projects, manage inventory, establish positive relationships with collaborators, and support site's sustainability initiatives.



Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, facility management, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the pharmaceutical building and site support services management or a comparable role.
- Technical knowledge and expertise in building mechanical, electrical and plumbing utilities & maintenance.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standard processes in building management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Physical stamina and availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Customer service and customer satisfaction orientation.


- A certification or license in building management, facilities management, or a related field is an asset.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and run budgets and resources.
- Previous exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business.
- Quality and Compliance background for inspection readiness and quality records management.
