SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Strategist, B2B Program Activation is responsible for delivering and optimizing AAFP corporate clients’ information, content and materials to AAFP members and health care professionals to meet or exceed the organization’s non-dues revenue objectives/goals for strategic B2B programs. This team member is responsible for marketing planning and processes and for working cross-functionally to deliver and optimize all B2B program activation efforts. This individual may work directly with clients to approve content, activate and optimize program benefits, and deliver standardized marketing reporting and results. This position will also assist the AAFP sales team in the development of sales enablement tools such as program collateral and web content. This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Director, Segment Marketing Communication Strategy.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Lead the cross-functional marketing + communication team to deliver and optimize all ongoing B2B program efforts including but not limited to content strategy, copywriting, webpage creation and optimization, email deployment, organic and paid social efforts, and integration into other AAFP segment or product communications as appropriate.

  • Collaborate on system(s) to onboard new corporate clients and serve as the corporate client’s marketing POC and working with clients directly to approve and activate marketing content and optimize program benefits.

  • Collaborate to define, create and deliver standardized marketing activity-related reporting and results to corporate partners.

  • Assist with sales enablement by keeping program-related materials such as program webpages and collateral updated as needed.

  • Contribute to research efforts that help the Academy understand how members view corporate partners, their content and specific channels in which they consume the corporate partner content.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or knowledge acquired through equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of four years related work experience. Highly organized. Proven track record of managing projects/programs with varying timelines and many detailed components. Proven history as an effective marketing strategist and cross-functional team leader. Ability to ask meaningful questions and effectively probe to uncover/understand business needs and opportunities. Proven track record of turning insights into actionable plans. Ability to work collaboratively across teams to successfully achieve results. Ability to successfully influence at all levels of an organization and to make presentations to a multitude of audiences. Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Suite as well as various marketing channels and tactics such as content marketing, SEO, email marketing and social platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube is required. Experience with a CRM system is required, HubSpot is preferred. Account management experience is desirable. General knowledge of media buying/advertising sales is desirable.
