Job Summary:




This position is responsible for all activities associated with desktop computers (and associate peripherals), end user telephony, video and associated unified communications technologies. Support for desktop computers/peripherals includes: computer hardware, printers, client access software, and other peripheral hardware devices (i.e. scanners, signature pads, etc.). Video support will include video and teleconferencing end point equipment, conference rooms, telehealth and telemedicine initiatives enterprise wide. Unified communication support includes deployment and support of mobile devices, video visits, basic phone and network troubleshooting. This position will contribute to the development of implementation, configuration, hardware, and software standards for IT Systems Support to ensure consistently high levels of performance. Coordinate with the Enterprise Architecture and Facilities Management teams to ensure proper implementation and support of key initiatives and facilities expansion. Work closely with staff and leaders at all levels of the enterprise to ensure that computing infrastructure delivers a level of service consistent with the needs and expectations of the organization. This position is directly responsible for staff assigned to the IT Systems Support Team, including the following: assignment of work and tasks, performance monitoring, and completion of performance evaluations. Provide technical consulting on complex projects. Evaluate existing systems and procedures, providing improvement recommendations as required. Proactively interact with key customer staff and leadership to build relationships and improve the ability of the IT Systems Support Team to meet the needs and expectations of the organization. Reports to the Manager of Enterprise Operations. Performs other duties as assigned.



EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:



A minimum of one year of experience in a leadership position supporting computing infrastructure and in a customer support role with high customer satisfaction goals is required. Experience in managing end user computing, telephony, video and converged devices and technologies. Three years of relevant IT leadership experience is preferred. Experience implementing and managing within the ITIL ITSM framework is preferred. Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.



SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:



Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of hospital personnel, vendors and IT personnel. Strong ability to define, communicate and ensure processes, policies and procedures are executed in accordance with desired management outcomes. Must possess the ability to deliver clear, concise communications and presentations. Must be able to train others quickly and thoroughly on key IT concepts. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Strong management and project management capabilities. Strong knowledge of: desktop computers and associated peripherals and technologies; mobile devices; end user telephony, video and associated converged communication technologies. Advanced computer skills utilizing MS Office, MS Exchange/Outlook and project management tools.


EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:



Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related technology field or acquired through combination of education and experience is required.
