Purchasing Assistant/Analyst Contractor



Location: Austin, TX 78703


Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (ONSITE)


Pay: $23 - $25/hr


Duration: 6-months, with the potential to get extended based on business needs and performance


An industry leading Grocer is seeking a Purchasing Assistant/Analyst contractor to join their team. This contractor will work with the Culinary Procurement team to review, cleanse data, create visualizations, and report insights and recommendations.



Job Duties:



• Data cleansing, review data for cost accuracy, monitoring changes, item data analysis, reporting


• Supplier relationships including unwinding current relationships


• Food industry, food product knowledge helpful


• Demand planning, inventory experience helpful


• Advanced Excel required


• Coding in SQL helpful


• Tableau, information extraction


• Experience with Microsoft office products; must have advanced proficiency in Excel and have the ability to create and run complex and dynamic reporting


• Comfort with and ability to learn new reporting and database tools/systems; intermediate level knowledge of database reporting tools, like Tableau


• Experience with programming languages a plus


• Familiarity with procurement and supply chain operations


• Strong attention to detail, and commitment to consistently meeting timelines


• Able to think creatively and solve problems


• Excellent organization and time management skills


• Strong project management background


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas, conclusions and recommendations with clarity



Qualifications:



• Bachelor's degree preferred


• 1+ year of experience with Procurement and Supply Chain operations preferred


• Advanced Excel with the ability to run dynamic reports


• Strong Data Analytics experience with the ability to create visualizations and automate workflows


• Experience with programming languages a plus


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
