Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture Development: Design, develop, and manage analytical cloud architecture in Azure Synapse Analytics using Apache Spark (PySpark) to support company-wide reporting and analytics initiatives.
Data Connectivity: Identify and integrate new data sources into our ecosystem, ensuring smooth data flow and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
Data Processing: Develop and optimize large-scale data pipelines with PySpark, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Environment Segregation: Implement and oversee test and production environments, maintaining integrity through best practices in DevOps and DataOps.
Data Management: Construct data pipelines with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
Operational Excellence: Monitor and ensure the successful execution of data import jobs, managing tasks to maintain efficiency across multiple projects.
Innovation & Collaboration: Partner with the analytics team to transition from data processing to insightful data storytelling.
Customer Focus: Deliver high-quality service to stakeholders by understanding and addressing their data needs, facilitating informed decision-making.
Experience Required:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proven expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Spark (PySpark), SQL, and data pipeline development.
Data Integration: Experience in connecting and integrating diverse data sources, including relational databases, APIs, and cloud-based systems.
ETL Processes: Demonstrated proficiency in designing and managing ETL processes and data transformation workflows.
Environment Management: Experience with best practices for managing test and production environments, including environment segregation.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex data issues and optimizing pipelines.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Industry Experience: Preferred experience in the tree fruit, agricultural, or manufacturing industries.
