Zapata Technology is seeking an experienced Software Developer, for a remote role in Sierra Vista, AZ or Augusta, GA.

Job functions:
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using the .NET framework, including ASP.NET, C#, MVC, and .NET Core to build robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications by analyzing user needs to determine functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop plans for systems related to information architecture, networking, telecommunications, and risk management.
- Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks, their interrelationships, and necessary resources.
- Identify and assess technical risks and propose solutions during the software lifecycle, including automation, communications protocols, and software development methodologies.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects while ensuring compliance.
- Leverage expertise in both new and older technologies, ensuring that solutions.
- Document development processes, architecture, and code, and ensure alignment with lifecycle management standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, applying them to improve the scalability and performance of existing systems.
- Optimize software performance, ensuring efficient use of resources across the system architecture.
Skills/ experience needed:
- Familiarity with the AWS cloud platform.
- Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills, ensuring clear articulation of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ certification, demonstrating commitment to security and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills include:
- Proficiency in application development using SQL, preferably Oracle
- Experience working with real-time data and streaming applications
- Proficiency in basic commands and shell scripting
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Microsoft or Software Certification
Education/Experience includes:
- 4+ years of Software Development experience
Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Clearance:
This position requires an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
