Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs machine operations relative to the manufacture of plastic parts and products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates and clears from machines injection molded parts as required, boxes, trims, labels and records counts at each machine.
• Performs assembly operations to produce sub-assemblies or assemblies using plastic and other miscellaneous parts.
• Regrinds defective parts or runners, keeps reground material separate as to color and type of material. May be required to clean regrinding machines
• Performs simple gauging of molded parts and visual inspection to insure quality or parts produced. Reports difficulties to Supervisor or Set Up Mechanic
• Responsible for observance of safety rules and regulations and for the housekeeping of his area and department.
• Verifies carton counts and extends to skid counts and make out transfer to warehouse.
• At the request of Supervisor, makes out material requisition for sub-assembly material.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work third shift required
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
