About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant supporting settlement and financial operations as a part of Merchant Services.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead a Settlement & Financial Operations team in Merchant Services Operations focused on executing daily tasks in support of settlement accounting, cash management, revenue assurance, and various financial operations activities.
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of Settlement & Financial Operations, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Merchant Services Operations team leaders to manage daily settlement and financial operation activities
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
  • Improve and implement solutions to support high value settlement, funding and financial operations activities
  • Exercise independent judgement to identify and resolve problems
  • Perform research to resolve complex business issues as well as lead and support team members as they learn through the process
  • Monitor appropriate risk mitigation activities
  • Lead effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in merchant services or payments: financial operations and settlement accounting
  • Expertise in merchant services cash management
  • Experience with Revenue Assurance
  • Expertise in merchant services transaction and settlement funding processes
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of financial accounting related to merchant services processing
  • Knowledge of card payment network quarterly reporting & card network fees
  • Experience working with business partners in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and Relationship Management
  • Experience with client/customer and/or third-party relationships and support
Job Expectations:
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days in office per week.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
