Sales Practices & Control Management

Sales Practices & Conduct Management is a front-line operation responsible for looking into reports of possible employee misconduct across Wells Fargo. The group analyzes trends and shares reporting and insights with business partners to support the company in managing conduct-related issues.

Sales Practices & Conduct Management leads the Insider Threat, Sales Practices, and Conflicts of Interest programs, helping to protect Wells Fargo resources and ensure employees are acting in the company's best interests. It is also home to the Loudspeaker program, which strives to improve our customer and employee experience through the solicitation of employee input and ideas.

Sales Practices & Conduct Management is part of the Chief Operating Office.

The Role

The Head of Conduct Programs and Business Management will report directly to the Head of Sales Practices & Conduct Management. The role is primary responsible for leading the enterprise-wide front line Conduct Programs including Insider Threat, Sales Practices, and Conflicts of Interest that enables an enterprise view and provides standards to the Business Groups and Enterprise Functions to ensure programs are executed consistently and mitigate risk. The Business Management aspect of the role will drive the day- to-day operational routines for the Sales Practices & Conduct Management organization. In addition, this leader will drive the budget management cycle to ensure targets are met, to include, proposing recommendations to address financial performance and create the narrative that articulates the expense story. The role requires a highly resourceful individual who thrives in a fast moving, and complex environment. This leader will coordinate and drive Sales Practices & Conduct Management business meetings, routines, presentations, business reviews, and cross-group objectives and projects or processes that support the broader team.

Objectives of the Role:
  • Manage the Conduct Programs to drive effective identification and mitigation of Conduct related risks for Insider Threat, Conflicts of Interest, and Sales Practices.
  • Builds strong relationships and promotes alignment and coordination across the Business Groups, Enterprise Functions, and key stakeholders such as Human Resources, Technology, and Independent Risk Management.
  • Partner with Independent Risk Management to drive ongoing enhancements to Conduct related policies, processes, and procedures, including inputs from industry leaders, best practices, and external perspective to ensure continuous improvement of the program.
  • Leverage operational knowledge to drive the financial planning process, in partnership with Finance. Will monitor and perform the necessary analysis to correctly interpret the group's financial performance. Appropriately propose strategies to the senior leadership team that align with achieving financial commitments.
  • Ensure Senior Executive is prepared for business meetings with key stakeholders, including Operating Committee, Board, Regulators & Line of Business Heads.
  • Lead the strategic planning process, oversight of the deliverables, translating the strategy into actionable steps for execution.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications on internal and external communications, including Town Halls, agendas, and business materials or artifacts.
  • Create capacity for the Senior Executive by acting as proxy where appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of analytical experience.
  • Management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm.
  • Ability to form a story through data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions and translate findings.
  • Tableau experience.
  • A clear and concise communication style that can simplify the complex and ensure a common understanding can be quickly reached.
  • Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • A strategic thinker, planner and executor with an operating style that encourages cooperation and collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, form a strategy, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Experience consulting and collaborating with senior leaders in various functional areas, with the proven capacity to translate ideas into action; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, influence desired outcomes, while maintaining the appropriate level of adaptability.
  • Demonstrated success of identifying, defining and leading transformational change within a large complex organization.
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
