The Regional Branch Manager - Midwest is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the logistics branch, driving revenue growth, improving profitability, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strategic leadership, operational expertise, and effective team management.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Planning:- Develop and execute branch business plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities.2. Operations Management:- Supervise and coordinate daily operations, including freight brokerage, warehousing, and transportation.- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.3. Team Management:- Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals.- Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.4. Customer Relationship Management:- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.- Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.5. Financial Management:- Manage branch P&L, controlling expenses and optimizing revenue.- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.6. Systems Development and Implementation:- Oversee the optimization of CargoWise, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.- Identify and develop process improvements through technology enhancements.7. Compliance:- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including TSA, Customs, and DOT requirements.- Maintain CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) certification and compliance.- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.Performance Goals:Financial Performance:- Achieve annual revenue growth of 10% or more.- Maintain a gross margin of 15% or higher.- Reduce operational expenses by 5% year-over-year.Operational Efficiency:- Achieve an on-time delivery rate of 98% or higher.- Maintain a claims ratio of 1% or less.- Implement process improvements to reduce transit times by 10%.Customer Satisfaction:- Maintain a customer satisfaction rating of 90% or higher (measured through surveys).- Increase customer retention rate by 5% year-over-year.- Expand existing customer relationships by 20% through upselling/cross-selling.Team Development:- Ensure 100% of team members receive regular performance reviews and training.- Achieve a team member retention rate of 80% or higher.- Promote at least one team member to a leadership role within 12 months.KPIs:- Revenue growth- Gross margin percentage- On-time delivery rate- Claims ratio- Customer satisfaction rating- Employee retention rate- Training and development participation- CargoWise system utilization and efficiencySkills and Qualifications:- 7+ years of experience in logistics or transportation management- Proven track record of leadership and team management- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and customer service skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or related field- Working knowledge of CargoWise- Familiarity with TSA and CTPAT regulations
