More information about Helping Education's mission, values, staff, and programs can be found at https://helpingeducation.org/who-we-are/.Detailed Job DescriptionThe primary tasks of the Implementation Coach will include: Develop strong content expertise in the HELPS fluency intervention and become certified as a HELPS Implementation Coach.Become certified to provide HELPS training. Facilitate simulated HELPS practice sessions with newly recruited implementers. Become a direct point of contact for school or community based organization staff at assigned sites; communicate with teachers, school staff, and community-based organization staff regarding HELPS, as well as communicate with student families when needed. Manage online breakout rooms when tutoring is taking place online.Support and coordinate implementers at the site(s) when tutoring is taking place in person; work to ensure positive overall climate and experience. Assist in building and maintaining the schedule of students and implementers in collaboration with the Recruitment and Outreach Specialist. Complete observations and fidelity checks of individuals implementing HELPS sessions with students. Administer brief reading assessments for students selected to receive the program. Monitor student progress in HELPS, ensuring students receive proper dosage, and provide updates and recommendations to team members.Other duties as assignedDesired Skills, Experience, and CharacteristicsThe ideal candidate has the experience, training, and prior accomplishments to execute the above responsibilities and demonstrates the skills and characteristics described below:Has a demonstrated commitment to advancing educational equityBe willing to work on-site in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools A proactive approach to the work Effective leadership skills necessary for facilitating training and cultivating positive, supportive relationships with tutors, parents and school staff Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills when interacting with school staff, tutors, parents, partnering agencies, and Helping Education staff. Data entry and administering assessments Ability to perform required tasks independently Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere Ability to problem solve in the moment Mastery of the HELPS program (training provided) Minimum of 1 year of completed college-level coursework in nonprofit management, education, social work, psychology, communications, or related fields is preferred. Experience in working with volunteers of all ages (college level up to retirees) Experience in working with youth in grades K 5 in a school setting Valid drivers license, reliable transportation and auto insurance Sensitivity to and a strong concern for the needs of children, youth and their families Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and ZoomPay and BenefitsHelping Education is a family-friendly organization dedicated to attracting and retaining talented, hard-working staff. The pay rate for this position will be commensurate with experience and will range from $18 - $21 per hour.Work EnvironmentHelping Education operates in a hybrid home/office environment.
