We're currently seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team in Dallas, TX, on a 9-month contract with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role.
Job Description:
We're looking for a skilled Software Developer with expertise in Java, Perl, and Python to join our development team. The primary focus will be on enhancing the RADIUS features of a partner's NAC platform, addressing bug fixes, assisting with backlog tasks, and ensuring software quality and validation. The product operates on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and maintain RADIUS features within the NAC platform, collaborating with partners and our development team.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and issues.
Assist in managing and addressing backlog tasks to improve overall platform functionality.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to validate and ensure software reliability.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
Document software design and implementation details for future reference.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Java, Perl, and Python programming languages and PostgreSQL.
Understanding of the RADIUS protocol and Network Access Control (NAC) systems.
Experience with software development, bug fixing, and backlog management.
Familiarity with quality assurance practices and validation techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with network security and access control solutions.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Previous experience in a contract role with potential for full-time employment.
