Job Description:

Senior Scheduler

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to lead scheduling efforts on large commercial and industrial projects. This role will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining project schedules, while identifying and resolving any potential issues in project planning and execution. The Senior Scheduler will collaborate closely with project teams and trade partners to ensure project timelines are met and risks are mitigated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead scheduling efforts on large commercial projects, or smaller projects, from planning through execution.
  • Develop detailed project schedules in collaboration with project teams and trade partners, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Analyze project information to prepare clear, actionable documents that eliminate design discrepancies and improve project efficiency.
  • Oversee the input, analysis, and monitoring of design deliverables, procurement, and construction schedules.
  • Create and maintain project status reports, both internal and external, to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.
  • Apply advanced planning and scheduling techniques, involving substantial evaluation, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Prepare baseline project schedules, ensuring properly sequenced activities and efficient project flow.
  • Produce conceptual schedules with minimal input, refining them through collaboration with the project team.
  • Critique and review subcontractor and vendor schedule updates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
  • Track project progress, provide regular status updates, and recommend workarounds when necessary to keep projects on schedule.
  • Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to address delays and identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in industrial or commercial construction scheduling.
  • Expertise in scheduling software, including Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of ERP cost management tools and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction disciplines and scheduling techniques.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
