A leading global industrial manufacturing company is seeking an EHS Manager to be based out of Greensburg, PA facility. The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the site's North American EHS programs, fostering a healthy safety culture, and maintaining compliance. The incumbent will be tasked with implementing effective programs from the ground- up and engaging at various levels of the business and team. This role would have oversight of 3 manufacturing/ distribution sites in the area and require 30% local travel.
The Role:
Developing, strategizing and implementing a long-term plan for the EHS function
Driving a culture of safety across the business unit to reduce injuries and accidents
Promoting continuous improvement efforts in the EHS function, integrating tactical and strategic EHS planning
Evaluate, develop and implement safety programs from the ground-up
Ensure compliance with necessary regulators, including OSHA, EPA and local agencies
Mentor and develop 2 EHS Specialists
The Candidate:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related technical field preferred
7+ years' safety experience within an industrial, mechanical, or construction environment
Demonstrated ability to build safety programs across multiple operations
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
