Job Description:

The Project Engineer's job is to supervise and manage different projects in the chemical plant and make sure they are finished on schedule, within scope, and within budget. To ensure smooth project execution, this function entails coordinating with several departments and disciplines, such as engineering, production, safety, and procurement. The ideal applicant will have project management expertise, a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, and a comprehensive grasp of the capital project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Planning:

Convert corporate goals into those of the capital project.
  • Create thorough project plans that include the project's goals, timetable, budget, and resources.
  • Oversee a project's whole lifecycle, from planning and initiation to execution, oversight, and closing.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in defining the deliverables and requirements for the project.
  • Oversight of independent engineering and construction firms

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Keep an eye on project spending plans, keep tabs on outlays, and make sure that solutions are affordable.
  • Distribute resources wisely, making certain that project teams have the staff and equipment they need.
  • Give precise monthly projections.
  • Risk management is the process of identifying possible risks and creating plans to reduce them.
  • Keep an eye on project hazards and put backup measures in place if needed.

Quality Control:

  • Verify that every project activity complies with business policies, laws, and industry standards.
  • Perform routine quality assessments and audits to make sure project deliverables adhere to the necessary requirements.

Stakeholder Communication:
  • Keep in constant contact with top management, project teams, and outside partners, among other stakeholders.
  • Give frequent updates on the status of the project, its difficulties, and its remedies.

Record-keeping and Reporting:

  • Keep thorough records of all project paperwork, such as budgets, timelines, plans, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
  • 3+ years' experience in project management. ideally in the petrochemical or manufacturing industries
  • Self-driven, self-sufficient, and proactive
  • strong communication abilities both in writing and speaking
  • outstanding ability to collaborate with people from different company functions.
  • The capacity to oversee several projects at once and adhere to strict deadlines.
