Schedule: Monday to Friday, First Shift 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay Rate: $66.21 to $81.00 per hour
Job Description:
The Project Engineer provides leadership and technical expertise across multiple skill areas, managing both internal and external resources and collaborating closely with customers. This role involves developing integrated project schedules to meet ongoing and new business requirements, securing necessary approvals, and responding to changes in the Statement of Work (SOW). The Project Engineer is responsible for assessing the impact of these changes, negotiating proposed modifications, and ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate individual contributors across multiple skill areas, including internal and external teams.
Develop and manage integrated project schedules to support business requirements.
Collaborate with customers and management to secure project approvals.
Assess and negotiate changes to the SOW, determining modifications to deliverables, resources, and schedules.
Execute Support Systems product development, ensuring completion of work statements.
Identify, track, and report technical performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
Plan and coordinate resources required for successful project execution.
Compare actual project outcomes against the baseline plan to evaluate performance, efficiency, productivity, and lessons learned.
Provide technical leadership and integration across project plans and execution.
10+ years of experience as a Technical Lead for USAF deliverable capability.
Experience delivering briefings to senior-level management.
Experience leading multi-discipline teams.
Familiarity with USAF Technical Orders and Time Compliant Technical Orders.
Experience leading technical/source data reviews.
Previous experience in an organic aircraft modification environment.
Education / Experience:
Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and typically 9+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years of related work experience, Master+7 years of related work experience). ABET accreditation is preferred, though not required, in the USA.
