The Land Assistant Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the coordination and execution of our land development projects. This role is essential to ensuring the timely and compliant development of residential communities. This position will be based in the Folsom office and cover projects located in Northern California.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and coordinating land development projects, managing consultants, and assist in pre-construction development activities.
  • Create and manage project schedules.
  • Generate Tracking spreadsheets for all Pre-Development communities and projects in Due Diligence.
  • Utilize project management tools to monitor project progress and financials.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and help monitor expenses to ensure projects stay on track financially.
  • Process all Department of Real Estate applications and obtain public reports for our communities.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate project progress and quality control.
  • Prepare contracts, change orders, and purchase orders for our contractors.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including permits, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Assist with final map processing.
  • Track and manage development credit and reimbursements
  • Manage land secured financing (CFD Bonds) formation process and work with consultants on bond proceeds collection.
  • Assist with bond processing and exoneration.

Education/Experience:
  • 5 years of relevant project management experience
  • 5 years of homebuilding industry experience - preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
  • Bachelor's Degree (Project Management or Business) - preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

  • Experience and Proficiency with JD Edwards One World or other similar software a must.
  • Familiarity with Sales Simplicity, Envision and Hyphen Solutions BuildPro.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
