Overview of Position
To assist in our growth, we seek an outstanding and motivated Director of Product Management for our hardware portfolio, including both our core LiDAR product & R&D efforts. In this role, you will assist our COO and CTO in the development and execution of our hardware product strategy, ensuring alignment with our company's overall vision and customer/partner needs. You will oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation through design, manufacturing, and launch, working closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales, marketing, and operations. Your goal will be to deliver high-quality hardware products that meet market demands and drive our growth in the oil & gas space.
Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Define and implement the hardware product strategy and roadmap, aligning with the company's vision, market trends, and customer requirements.
Oversee the end-to-end development of hardware products, from concept to launch, including design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing processes.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback, understand pain points, and translate those insights into actionable product requirements and enhancements.
Collaborate closely with software and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware with our software solutions.
Lead product development projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Bridger has a strong track record of delivering the highest quality of products - Maintain rigorous quality standards for all hardware products, including compliance with industry regulations and certifications.
Work with external vendors and suppliers to manage procurement, production schedules, and supply chain logistics.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
7+ years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on hardware product development.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a hardware-centric environment, ideally within IoT or related industries. Experience with LiDAR or other photonics products is a plus.
Strong understanding of the product lifecycle from concept to manufacturing, including design, development, testing, and go-to-market strategies.
Experience in managing supply chains, vendor relationships, and manufacturing partners, including making build vs buy decisions.
Deep customer empathy with a track record of delivering customer-centric solutions.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Pay is commensurate with education, experience, and skills.
This position is based at Bridger's facility in Bozeman, MT.
