Summary of Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company reintroducing its brand to the world with a strong focus on profitable growth. The organization is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and hands-on Vice President of Digital and eCommerce to oversee all global eCommerce and digital revenue operations. The primary focus will be to build and implement strategies and processes that drive predictable and profitable sales while enhancing the online customer experience. This will be achieved by managing a dedicated team, collaborating with various departments, driving digital growth strategies, and ensuring that owned and partner eCommerce platforms are optimized for performance, usability, conversion, and profit maximization.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Oversee the global eCommerce P&L, including marketing budgets, fixed and variable costs, revenue growth, and profitability forecasting. Set and achieve online sales targets while maximizing profitability.
  • Lead a lean, highly effective team with full ownership over our direct-to-consumer website and marketplace platforms, collaborating with wholesale teams for partner sites.
  • Manage agency relationships to fill gaps and accelerate eCommerce-related activities.
  • Supervise the customer service team and related processes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive eCommerce strategies and processes aligned with company goals.
  • Drive all digital acquisition, retention marketing, site optimization, digital merchandising, and digital experience functions.
  • Partner with the digital marketing team to develop, execute, and report on campaigns to drive traffic, including email/SMS marketing, paid social, paid search, and affiliate marketing.
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage growth strategies to drive traffic to our website.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of our regional websites to ensure they are differentiated, user-friendly, visually appealing, and offer a seamless shopping experience aligned with UX/UI best practices.
  • Implement SEO strategies to increase organic traffic.
  • Coordinate email/SMS campaigns and flows, optimizing all retention marketing processes with a strong focus on increasing customer lifetime value and retention rate.
  • Manage the eCommerce calendar, including briefing banners, product page assets, and copy to the internal creative team.
  • Maintain and enhance the user experience of our loyalty program.
  • Collaborate with the brand team to ensure consistency across all digital channels.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure accurate demand planning and timely product delivery to relevant distribution centers.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and strategic planning, preparing and presenting regular performance reports to senior leadership. Monitor eCommerce metrics and KPIs to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, providing regular performance feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
  • Stay current with emerging eCommerce technologies and trends.
  • Ensure the eCommerce platform is secure and complies with relevant data regulations.

Required Skills and Expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10+ years of work experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role; experience in consumer goods or retail preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful eCommerce strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and retention marketing, SEO, SEM, and web analytics.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, preferably Shopify.
  • Previous experience working in a global eCommerce team preferred (e.g., US, EMEA, ANZ).
  • Experience managing e-retail or Amazon alongside owned eCommerce platforms.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to build trust among team members and effectively coach them for growth.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and web design principles.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and other regulatory requirements for eCommerce customers in the UK, California, and Europe.
