Nature of Work
This position performs at an advanced level in the management of the Source Water and Wellhead Protection Programs and assures compliance with federal and state rules, regulations, guidance and policies by analyzing and evaluating scientific data and technical information related to the State's Public Water Systems (PWS). This position must maintain knowledge, expertise and compliance with complex federal and state statutes, rules, regulations, and provide guidance to the state PWS.
This position also administers and directs all activities related to the delineation of wellhead protection areas, PWS source water protection plans, preparation of state and federally-mandated compliance reports and assist with the SWP Grant program.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every fifteen (15) semester hours of graduate training and/or every thirty (30) semester hours of the undergraduate training.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience related to the specialty area.
