The Senior Finance & Data Analyst will play a key role in the financial reporting, planning, forecasting and business analytics for The Apparel Group. This position will be responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely budgets and forecasts, as well as provide variance analysis, supply chain & logistics performance measurement and comparative analysis. This role will also help bridge the gap between finance and technology, ensuring the accuracy of information derived from our financial systems, and identifying process improvement opportunities within Finance/Accounting. The Senior Financial & Data Analyst will support the Finance/Accounting team in the continued development of a robust control environment and deliver accurate, timely and high-quality financial information. The candidate will be responsible for in-depth knowledge of the company's financial system; extracting and analyzing data from the system in support of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and period end close activities.
**This position is onsite 4 days/week (Monday through Thursday), remote on Fridays, located at 883 Trinity Drive, Lewisville, TX.
Major Responsibilities:
Work to ensure the accuracy of financial data used for financial reporting
Own reporting of key financial data used for operational decision-making
Provide general financial data support to other key stakeholders within the finance team
Strengthen and help implement an analytics environment, and ensure financial dashboards are updated in a timely, accurate, and appropriate manner
Provide exceptional level of support during month-end close, forecast, and plan cycles, and ad-hoc reporting
Translate data into actionable recommendations, actively solving ambiguous, unstructured problems.
Work within a cross-functional, team-driven structure to present and explain deliverables to non-technical stakeholders.
Develop and enhance data collection processes, document data definitions and catalog metadata requirements for enterprise BI, Tableau and analytical applications.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales and operational performance to support business initiatives, creating clear and compelling visualizations of data insights.
Apply advanced quantitative methods, data mining, modeling, and analytical tools to solve complex business problems.
Provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes to data systems.
Resolve and analyze the full impact of system issues
Create and maintain procedural documentation and assist in ensuring the integrity of data through the company's financial systems (i.e. Lawson M3)
Participate in software upgrades, design, implementation, functional testing, and data validation to ensure quality solutions

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
3+ years of experience within Finance and/or Financial Systems
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, financial planning, and reporting
Proficiency in SQL with 2+ years of experience working with large data sets
2+ years of experience with analytic and reporting toolsets (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
Quick learner and self-starter with strong problem-solving and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to allow for mutual understanding of business needs and development of cooperative solutions
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, and adapt quickly to change
Advanced skill with Microsoft Office software
