Work with planning team to purchase all items used for Production for Proximo and all of its locations while seek continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
Ensure vendors are confirming the pricing provided on purchase orders and ensure SAP is accurate for accounts payable. Work with Accounts Payable to correct any billing or receipt issues.
Negotiate conditions with vendors including price, days of payment, quality, and delivery times.
Develop close relationships with vendors and communicate with them to prevent any out of stock situations.
Work with vendors and follow up on any shortages that will affect scheduled production. Communicate all issues to planning and production teams.
Provide information to all vendors to ensure inventory coverage when items are scheduled for production.
Analyse performance and quality data to identify opportunities for improvement and recommended solutions and process changes.
Track supplier performance for delivery, accuracy, timing, shortages and quality.
Develop analytical tools and reports designed improve tracking of material shortages based upon vendors lead times. Provide key analytical reporting to senior manager.
Implement process improvement initiatives in order to benefit Proximo Procurement and Supply Chain operations
Work with alternate vendors in order to manage circumstances when demand exceeds capacity.
Update pricing with all raw materials in SAP. Coordinate with finance the creation of new part numbers and bill of materials in SAP. Work closely with teams to minimize obsolescence when we have packing upgrades and changes.

Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
3-5 years Sourcing/ Purchasing/ Supply Chain/ or Manufacturing experience.
Strong communication skills to influence and to translate into positive results.
Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of major ERP systems (i.e. SAP).
Working knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain processes.
Inventory management a plus
