AppleOne is assisting a client located in Orlando with finding an Assistant Buyer to join their team.
Desired Requirements and Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information and respond professionally to questions from leadership, vendors or ambassadors
Preferably prior experience in structured supply management organization and/or in a food related field
Attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel)
Ability to multi-task, work independently, accept change and meet deadlines with minimal supervision (once trained)
Basic knowledge of SAP and Financial Accounting a plus
Primary responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Sr. Category Manager
Assist in development and implementation of tools (NPNs, ONSAs, Outline Agreement and Contracts)
Initial review and analysis of supplier proposed pricing
Assist with running and analyzing KPI's designed to help monitor Culinary cost of sales
Review invoices, statements & purchase orders for completeness and accuracy; ensure received quantities and pricing are in line with invoices and work with Buyers to resolve issues
Respond to supplier questions and requests on behalf of the Sr. Category Manager
