Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Head Sportswear Designer . As the Head Designer you will be responsible for overseeing the design process for the sportswear line of our company (pants, skirts, jackets-woven & cut n sew). Your day-to-day tasks will include creating designs that fit into saleable price points, managing design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and interpreting these trends in a price sensitive manner, in addition to
constantly shopping stores of existing and potential clients to see what we may be missing or what holes exist in their current assortments.
This role is located in Manhattan, NY and requires on-site presence.
Qualifications
Strong design skills in sportswear separates and knowledge of affordable fabrics
Experience managing design projects
Proficient in design software and tools
Knowledge of industry trends and consumer preferences with regards to style & price
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in the ladies budget/moderate sportswear industry is a MUST!!
