Job Description:

Mission:

Our client, a global leader in printing and graphic design, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Plant Manager to lead the startup and operations of its new facility in

the United States.

The role involves a phased approach, with the first phase focused on the opening and launch of the facility, equipment commissioning, materials procurement, and the

training of work teams. The second phase involves operational management, process optimization, and the promotion of continuous improvement initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to lead the establishment and growth of our client's first production facility in the United States. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company's North American operations, driving innovation in the printing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

-Supervision of Facility Opening: Oversee the opening phase of the new facility, including

construction work, equipment installation, and initial testing.

-Operations Leadership and Management: Lead and manage plant operations, including

production, maintenance, quality control, shipping and receiving, raw material procurement, and site administrative activities. Support the company's mission and vision by modeling desired behaviors, communicating, and reinforcing key messages through daily activities and interactions.

-Process Flows and Optimization: Implement policies and optimize production flows and

processes.

-Environmental and Safety Management: Ensure the safety of all plant team members

and suppliers, including defining the safety vision and expectations, implementing corporate and operational safety initiatives, complying with corporate safety standards, and developing, executing, and monitoring site-specific safety plans and results.

-Resource Planning: Recruit and train the initial team of operators, engineers, and support

staff. Plan and schedule managed resources (operators and machines) and materials. Play an active role with the HR Department in developing policies, managing employee grievances, addressing personnel development issues, and motivating employees.

-Production Function Management: Lead all production functions and provide overall

direction to plan, coordinate, administer, and control the efficient production of quality

products in the facility.

-Performance Analysis and Improvement: Promote the analysis and improvement of

plant performance to achieve greater operational efficiency and enhance product quality,

ensuring the proper management of all departments.

-Improvement Projects: Act as the initiator and promoter of improvement and efficiency

projects, including those related to layout and production flows.

-Production Data Analysis: Analyze production data and department activities to identify

areas for improvement.

-Department Supervision: Oversee the assigned departments, including machinery and

equipment, ensuring the proper functioning of the system and worker safety.

-New Product Industrialization: Manage the process of industrializing new products.

- Inbound and Outbound Logistics: Manage inbound and outbound logistics.

-Purchasing and Procurement: Coordinate the procurement of raw materials,

consumables, spare parts, indirect materials, equipment, and services necessary for production activities.

-Quality: Coordinate activities to ensure product, process, and service quality for everything produced and shipped to the final customer.

-Communication with Business Functions: Coordinate and maintain communication with various company departments and other facilities.

-Team Management: Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of salaried and hourly

personnel, developing an efficient and effective management and organizational structure.

-Company Representation: Represent the company's interests with external entities and

counterparts.

-Facility Management: Manage facility management operations.

Requirements:

-Solid knowledge of Italian and English (B2/C1).

-Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

-At least 5 years of experience in a similar position within a structured and international

context. Preferable experience in opening new plants in the U.S.

-Experience in managing complex projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.

-Proven experience with ERP and MES systems.

-Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing tools.
