The Belcourt Theatre seeks an experienced and skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Belcourt Theatre - a three screen film center in Nashville, Tennessee.
About the Belcourt Theatre:
The Belcourt Theatre is Nashville's nonprofit film center, a cultural institution that engages, enriches and educates audiences through innovative film programming in our theatre, our community, and beyond. Housed in Nashville's only operating neighborhood theater, the Belcourt presents the best of independent, documentary, world and repertory cinema 365 days a year, while promoting visual literacy and providing opportunities for people of all ages to experience the power of film. First opened in 1925 as a silent movie house, the theatre was home to the Grand Ole Opry from 1934-35. The theatre reopened as a nonprofit art house in 1999. In 2016 the organization completed a major renovation and restoration of the theatre, its first in more than 50 years. Today the Belcourt is recognized as one of Nashville's most vibrant arts organizations and as a leader among the country's art houses regionally and nationally.
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
Facility Maintenance
Oversee the functioning of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, security, plumbing, and waste management
Conduct upkeep of building and non-projection equipment
Program HVAC schedule in accordance with building schedule and needs, replace filters, monitor and troubleshoot system alarms and issues as needed
Review all vendor contracts/invoices and approve prior to payment; manage and review service contracts annually to ensure facility management needs are being met
Oversee the management of maintenance and janitorial contract personnel and other on-site contractors
Ensure compliance with fire, health and safety standards
Develop and implement a facility management program that includes preventative maintenance
Respond to off-hours emergencies, reporting to the site when required
Serve as point of contact with neighboring tenants and landlords
Work closely with the Projection Director and Theatre Operations Director to coordinate resources and address challenges related to theatre operations and projection
Work with Front of House leadership to ensure smooth daily operations including following up on repair requests in order to execute building and maintenance repairs in a timely manner
Includes being on call and/or present during significant events for any building issues
Communicate across all departments on updates and repairs
Ensure an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for patrons and staff
Building Management
Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
Conduct, schedule and supervise maintenance repair work of mechanical systems
Develop and manage positive relationships and negotiations with building vendors
Responsible for daily routine inspections of the facility
Oversee security of buildings ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including coordinating building access, key/keycard distribution and collaborating with security systems vendors or security professionals
Maintain appropriate inventory of facility supplies for janitorial, office equipment, basic repairs, First Aid and other safety supplies within budget
Ensure building follows all fire, safety and emergency rules and procedures including permitting, routine inspections, and fire extinguisher service
Primary point of contact for Alarm Center and on-call for off hours emergency response and repair
Qualifications/Skills
3-5 years of experience in building maintenance
Valid driver's license
Prior supervisory experience preferred
General carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting experience preferred
Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements and safety precautions related to facilities management
Knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and smaller-scale facility repair
Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
Drive to collaborate to achieve common goals, flexible, sense of humor, problem-solver, detail-oriented, support drive, work independently on multiple projects at a time
Respond effectively to sensitive issues
Flexibility in scheduling, occasional weekend and evening work will be required based upon the event calendar, ability to be on-call contact for overnight building emergencies

Compensation: This is a full-time position which requires some evening and weekend hours. Salary range from $50,000 commensurate with experience and capacity. Belcourt offers health and dental, paid time off, and other benefits.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with the expectation to work some nights and weekends as events require
