Job Summary:
- Conduct interviews with potential clients and witnesses for asbestos/silicosis, workers' compensation, and civil litigation cases.
- Draft memoranda, review documents, and summarize depositions.
- Perform internet research, locate witnesses, and prepare witness viability assessments.
- Draft declarations, letters, and emails to coworkers, refresh recollections, and manage defendant identification in a database.
- Direct paralegals on updating work history and maintain confidentiality in all investigative tasks.
- Foster client and witness relationships through strong interpersonal communication.
Essential Skills:
- Strong writing, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle complex legal issues and emotionally sensitive topics.
- Proficient in database usage, research, and record review.
- Ability to be able to talk with clients and coworkers about complex and emotional issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish required, with 3-5 years of related experience.
- Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and confidence in communicating with new contacts. Typing speed of 35+ wpm.
