General Manager, Yarrow Bay (Kirkland)

The Job:

Are you ready to lead a team and create an exceptional shopping experience at our new Yarrow Bay location? As the General Manager, you'll oversee all store operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly from the moment we open our doors. You'll inspire your team, manage daily activities, and work closely with all departments to make sure our store reflects the vibrant, community-driven spirit of Kitchen & Market. Job Responsibilities:
  • Leading and overseeing all operations at the Yarrow Bay store, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Managing and mentoring store staff, setting the standard for excellent customer service and a strong work ethic.
  • Collaborating with other departments (marketing, purchasing, etc.) to ensure seamless operations and promotions.
  • Creating and managing store staff schedules to optimize staffing levels and productivity.
  • Hiring, training, and onboarding new employees; fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensuring accuracy in receiving and ordering products to keep shelves well-stocked and minimize shrink.
  • Implementing and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving complaints with a friendly, solution-oriented approach.
  • Overseeing inventory control and conducting regular stock audits to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Organizing in-store events and promotions to engage the community and drive sales.
  • Analyzing sales data and performance metrics to make informed decisions and improve store performance.

You Have:
  • Proven management experience in a retail setting, preferably in a grocery or market environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A solid understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Ability to learn and share knowledge about all K&M products.
  • A robust work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for 6-8 hours.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, and ladders.
