Robert Half is partnering with a leading U.S.-only owner, operator, developer and acquirer of logistics properties seeking a Due Diligence Analyst in Chicago, Illinois. This role is responsible for overseeing the scrutiny of due diligence reports and identifying possible complications for acquisitions and other investments.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate due diligence processes with external consultants while reviewing inspection reports and pinpointing potential issues
Review leases, contracts, and financial records to validate costs for acquisition targets
Match due diligence findings with transaction underwriting and ensure compliance with internal approval procedures
Support in compiling information for dispositions
Oversee transaction finalizations with attorneys and title companies, including preparing closing statements and overseeing document signing for acquisitions and dispositions
Collaborate with the Capital Markets Group and lenders on secured financing and loan assumptions, ensuring comprehensive due diligence and successful transaction completions
Help manage escrow funds for development deals
Skills/Experience:
Strong report writing and review skills with particular expertise in due diligence reports
Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, with attention to detail
Minimum 4 years in commercial real estate, including 2 years of experience in due diligence process
Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and related software
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable liaising with internal departments, sellers, real estate brokers, attorneys, consultants, and tenants
