Job Responsibilities of the Senior EHR Analyst and Project Manager:
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional
affiliations to maintain certification/licensure, and/or keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
Analyzes, develops, configures, tests and implements EHR software and related analytics, with minimal supervision.
Acts as user liaison between clinical or business departments and Information Technology; providing domain expertise and experience for multiple interacting healthcare departments and EHR software systems.
Performs system configuration functions and oversees maintenance of EHR with minimal supervision.
Participates in EHR quality projects, attends meetings and assigned committees to provide expertise and collaboration utilizing and leveraging the EHR to meet patient-centered goals.
Works closely with operational stakeholders to properly engineer workflows.
Produces user requested reports, charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solutions.
Recommends changes in procedures to create and/or align with Best Practices, either from vendor or industry standards.
Recognizes complex problems that may affect more than the systems of responsibility and proactively coordinates efforts with other department resources to resolve.
Provides initial education and training to staff on correct procedures and usage of the EHR systems, as well as providing continuing educational support as required due to changes of processes, regulatory requirements or system enhancements.
Knowledge of and ability to provide analysis and quantitative/qualitative study designs.
Ensures proper EHR Governance, Change, Project, Incident, and Access Management controls and audits.
Understand clinical quality, safety and regulatory needs and design workflows to ensure standards are met in the EHR.
Ensure HIPAA and HSS PHI policies are reinforced with workflow and application design.
Analyzes user-reported problems to determine corrective action.
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
Coordinates internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.

Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
Ensures department documentation is at current levels.
Provides status reports to management when required.
Maintains a positive image when dealing with department personnel.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Participates in an IT on-call rotation to provide off-hours system and end user support.
Job Qualifications for the Senior EHR Analyst and Project Manager:
Masters of Health Informatics preferred or related field or related experience.
Bachelors of Computer Information Systems required or related field or related experience.
Information Technology Project Management experience required.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience within an Information Technology setting
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a Healthcare setting.
