What You Will Do:

One of Attain Partner's clients is currently seeking a Director of Financial Aid to manage and oversee their financial aid operations. The successful candidate will assist in analyzing and interpreting regulatory language and policy development in order to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. This position will maintain compliance by; analyzing data and preparing financial reports as necessary and regularly auditing financial aid procedures, practices, documents, and operations to best administer financial aid and assist in funds management.

Job Responsibilities

Delegate and direct a third-part servicer's accurate and timely completion of tasks for key, loan projects including:
  • Awarding and Packaging
  • C-code, verification, and conflicting information resolutions.
  • Loan disbursements, drawdowns, and reconciliation.
  • SAP determinations, appeals and Refund to Title IV (R2T4) calculations for official and unofficial withdrawals
  • Loan increases, COA appeals, and professional judgements.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • With the help of our loan services, remain up to date on changes to Title programs and regulatory requirements, involving appropriate institutional stakeholders and leadership to adapt and evolve processes accordingly
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Hult enrollment and campus staff on questions about processes and individual students
  • Providing customer service and counseling to students, parents, and the campus community in person, on the phone, and via email regarding all aspects of the financial aid process
  • Managing private loan process, including certification, award eligibility determination and reconciliation
  • Participate with Central Team to complete required reporting, including IPEDS, regulatory and accreditation boards
  • Managing Veteran's Affairs funding
  • Identifying areas of weakness and initiating corrective action, including developing new processes, policies and procedures
  • Leading, developing and participating in events including, but not limited to, financial literacy sessions, loan exit counseling, graduation and orientation and recruitment events.
  • Managing annual Title IV audit process.
  • Other duties as assigned

Professional Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of financial aid awarding experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of federal financial aid and cash management regulations.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining composure and discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the capacity to work cooperatively with a wide range of individuals
  • Reliability, Confidentially and Integrity

Attain Partners is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging between $80,000 - $100,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
